Joseph White
President / Principal Designer
Joseph has honestly played every role in the industry, starting from the bottom, or as he views it, the true beginning. Being an engineer at heart has led him to always take a logical, first-principles approach to solving problems.
Throughout his college experience, he ran both the Multimedia and Education Technology departments, growing them and effortlessly handling their operations. (By the time he left, it took two full-time staff members to replace their one student employee!) Once out of school, he took the first full-time AV position he could find: Building racks for the Simpsons Ride™ at Universal Studios Hollywood™. This discovery of theme park AV and themed entertainment led to him realizing this as his new passion.
From there, he worked his way up through the industry, wearing the hats of fabricator, installer, project manager, sales engineer, design engineer, and now CEO, all the while remaining the point person for client contact. Learning every part of the business gave Joseph an experience that instilled in him his philosophy that every system sound be carefully designed to fit both the budget and time frame required, without sacrificing quality. Video systems quickly became a specialty of his as well, mastering all the initials: HDMI, HDCP, EDID, ATSC, etc., and learning projection science and lens mastering from masters in the industry.
Never having forgotten audio, he became a subject matter expert regarding on-board audio systems, working with Alcorn McBride to develop the RidePlayer on-board audio system, which not only contained revolutionary sync capabilities but quickly became the standard on-board playback and show control device at every major theme park before it was even shipping.
Joseph’s reputation for excellence and flexibility in leading project teams has led to success on some of the biggest and coolest projects that no one is allowed to talk about, as those in the industry know.
